THANKSGIVING CELEBRATION

Pau Llaneras
Thanksgiving Celebration is a national day in the United States. It’s celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. In this day many people want to say thank you for all the food.
In September 1620, a group of English people called the Pilgrim Fathers sailed from Plymouth. When they arrived, they were not the first to live there, the Wampanoag were the first people. The first winter was difficult. Many Pilgrim Fathers died because it was very cold and they had little food. In the spring they started to grow food so in the autumn of 1621 they celebrated their first harvest. Finally they gave thanks for their new home, new life and new friends.
Most American families still have a Thanksgiving Day dinner together. They have turkey and autumn vegetables, and pumpkin pie too.
